New hi-tech fishing bobber glides through water toward fish. Space age design enables "Bullet Bobber" to be steered through stream currents, eliminating the need to recast. Bullet Bobber's low price has ignited a landrush in sales.
When asked what type of effect the new Bullet Bobber has made on retail tackle and accessory business, Hubert (who asked to be identified by first name only), employed at the well-known Tackle Shack, says "We just can't keep 'em in stock they're selling so fast. It's the iPad of the fishing world. Everybody wants one."
Inventor, Paul Lieb, advised correspondents that the original idea for Bullet Bobber came to him one day as he studied a kite as it was being steered through the sky with a single line. "Bullet Bobber certainly does not resemble a kite," says Lieb, "but the physics of aerodynamics work the same way. Bullet Bobber is much easier to control, of course, than a kite."
Some of the advantages of fishing with the Bullet Bobber are:
- No need to keep recasting.
- Fish around all sides of a stump. Find the angle that fish will attack.
- The user has the option of either walking down a shoreline, maintaining a steady distance while trolling off-shore, or zig-zagging along the shoreline, causing the bait to move out and back, an unprecedented feature.
- The bait reaches areas that are otherwise unreachable.
- The On-demand, instantly-reversible direction of the bobber provide the user with a variety of advantages over traditional bobbers.
- Works great as a slip bobber by applying small split shots on each side of the bobber. Bullet Bobber's keels hold bobber position steady while the user moves to a new location, allowing broader area coverage with one cast.
